- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter cubed
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp poppyseeds
- ⅔ cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt). Cut in butter.
Stir in lemon zest and poppyseeds. Add wet ingredients and gently combine.
Shape dough into an inch-thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
